Abstract
This study is to explain the use of teaching styles used by EFL teachers in EFL learning. And also the implications of teaching styles used by EFL teachers on students' learning process. Where the use of this teaching style is very important to find out whether students have reached the specified target or not. The existence of teaching style activities used by EFL teachers during EFL learning aims to overcome student boredom when EFL learning is taking place and make students more enthusiastic in participating in EFL lessons. However, in reality there are still teachers who do not use teaching styles when learning EFL so that many students become less enthusiastic in learning EFL. This happens to MA and SMA students in Jayapura city, where during EFL lessons, most of them become passive and do not want to ask questions when they do not understand the material presented. In addition, students also lack motivation when learning English. Motivation plays an important role in the teaching and learning process for both teachers and students. For teachers, knowing students' learning motivation is very necessary to maintain and improve students' enthusiasm for learning. The study employed qualitative descriptive qualitative research methodology. Students from XII and EFL Teachers at MAPN West Koya, MA Darul Ma'arif Numbay, and MA DDI Entrop in Jayapura City served as the study's subjects. In this study, the data are gathered through interview and observation. This study found that the process of EFL teaching styles by teachers in Madrasah Aliyah includes technological and classical teaching styles. The technological teaching style includes preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. This is also the case with the classical teaching style. The implications of the teaching style used by EFL teachers on the learning process include increasing learning outcomes, creating a comfortable and varied classroom situation, creating positive student responses, facilitating the achievement of learning objectives, and the lesson is easy to understand.
